My Weekend with T.A.N part 2
On to Day 2 of the T.A.N weekend! After the long day on Saturday, it was great to have a chance to sleep in on Sunday. Carol and I were expecting to have VVIP check-in at 4PM, but they moved it up to 2PM. This was just another frustration from the promotion company that had heaped frustration on us for weeks leading up to the concert. Needless to say, experience taught us not to rush, because surely things would not happen as scheduled.
We got ready and left for the concert venue and arrived around 2:30. We were initially standing on the shady side of the building, but they moved us to the sunny side, which was awful! We stood in line for about an hour before we started moving. Luckily, everyone in line is friendly, so we are having fun even while waiting!
When we got to the front of the line, getting our VIP wristbands and SODA pix (selfies) tickets, went pretty quickly. We were then sent back outside to wait until the doors opened at 5. I didn’t realize that additional group photos would be available, so I went back inside to purchase one. The group photo experience from Saturday was amazing, so I was excited to get to do it again!
Finally, they allowed us to come inside, since we had been outside waiting for about 2.5 hours. The lobby was cool and comfortable, so it was a nice respite!
We were called for soundcheck, and it was out first chance to see the theater. Our seats were in the 4th row, and it was so close to the stage!
Soundcheck was casual. They performed two songs and did little bits of the dances. They were excited to be so close to the audience!
Once the concert started, I was in a daze! They were so close, and they were wearing the black outfits from the Heartbeat video! I was hoping they would wear them!
They took a break and answered questions we had written down while waiting in line to check in. Carole was lucky and they asked her question “What is your favorite food to eat in America?” She was so excited!
I can’t remember the set list, but I was eager to see Heartbeat and the unit songs from the new album. Since Hyunyeop wasn’t able to be with them, they didn’t perform Freeze, but they did perform Jekyll&Hide (Jooan, Jaejoon, and Sunghyuk) and Tarzan (Taehoon & Jiseong). Changsun entertained us while the others changed in the red outfits (another great choice)!
Below is the performance of Jekyll&Hide (which might be my favorite song from the new album, but if you ask me again, I might say something else! :)
The concert ended too soon as they always do, but we had the perks to look forward to! We again lined up to go through the fan sign. I am always happy to have them sign something for me. It is a great chance to see them up close (breathtaking) and say something to them briefly!
We then had the hi-touch and we got our 2 photocards that were part of the perks. This moment is always rushed, but worth it every time!
The next thing was the group photos with the members a group of 10 fans! We are still waiting for those photos to be uploaded, but we got to be in the photo with a bunch of people we spent the last two days with, so they should be nice! I might have made a heart with one of the members, but I need to see the photo to remember!
Next was the group photo with me and the members! Honestly, this is the best part of the whole event! It feels really special to be able to be with just them for that moment.
Then finally, our chance to get selfies with the members of our choice. We preselected our pose, I chose the pinkie promise pose for both Jooan and Changsun! This was so fun! I was nervous! They are really the sweetest!
So ended the best weekend and reaffirmed my commitment to be a fan of T.A.N and the members for as long as I am a K-pop stan!
